Angela
Subject: £100 art project
Hi Gideon,
What an unusual letter I received from you regarding the offer of £100! I was sceptical - who does this sort of thing? So I googled you - and you exist!!
So I will accept your offer of a potential for being given £100
The entertainment I have had from people when I asked what they would do with an errant £100!
I'd be really interested in other responses you have received.
My husband suggested we spend it on the garden ...hmmm...No! I thought I'd treat myself to a spa day....err..probably too selfish to do. Why not blow it all on a gamble for more money...well, its greedy and I might lose the bet. I could put it towards the Christmas dinner I cook for my family and guests...last year we all dressed as characters from coronation street and adopted a reet northern accent. I could donate it to a charity..I already support many charitable causes..
So...
I believe in karma and "paying it forward". I will give my immediate family members £10.00 each, and ask them to email me how they wish to or have used the money...
I will keep £10.00 to myself, buy a frame, frame £5.00 and remember the day and all the possibilities of how a life can be entertained/enriched/changed/challenged at the offer of a "free"£100 !!!
I wish you well with your project

First Meeting
I met Angela at her house in Stockport.
We sat at her dining table and had coffee and biscuits.
I had printouts of the proposals with me so that Angela could read through them. She said the proposals were sincere and beautiful, and that the project is very important and that I should be proud. She said she was proud to be a part of it.
