Hi Gideon,
I received your letter, having given it some thought I would spend the money on a professional valet for my 11 year old rather beaten up car, it deserves some love and attention, and a professional clean of my oven. Two things I've never done before. If I could stretch the budget I'd have a full English breakfast while the car was being cleaned. Both/either of these would make me happy as cleaning is never very high on my list of priorities.

First Meeting
I met Janet at her house in Sale.
We sat in armchairs in the living room and had homemade orange shortbread and tea.
We talked about the annoying and inconsiderate nature of low letterboxes, something Janet had experienced regularly on her paper round and while delivering leaflets for the church.
She told me about her ex bin man, who was a poet. We talked about judgement and perception and the many different layers to people.
On a visit to Janet's house, I asked her about a banner hanging on her wall. She told me she used to volunteer making banners for the church. I asked if she would design and make one for the project.
The next time I visited, Janet had finished the banner. The subtitle, ‘The Households of Trafford and Gideon Vass’, was her idea.
