Hi Gideon,
We got a letter from you about an artwork you were working on offering £100 to 10 households. Here's how I'd like to spend the money if we get chosen!
I want to set myself the challenge of building a boat for £100 with materials available from a local DIY store (B&Q or something). I'd then like to attempt to row myself and my partner from the canal at the back of our house over Barton Swing Aqueduct as I've always fancied travelling over it.

First Meeting
I met Matt at his house in Stretford.
We sat on his sofa and had coffee. He had a giant grey rabbit that was hopping about and nibbling on the rug.
Matt showed me the boat designs and models he had made before giving me a tour of his house. It was full of his inventions. It was fascinating.
At the checkout in Aldi, Stretford, I realised I still had his envelope with the enclosed £100. I quickly rushed back to his house and gave it to him.

Matt and his partner Rosie were preparing for their wedding and move to the US when Matt decided to participate in the project.
It soon became clear that I would be the one in the boat with him.
Matt moved to the US. I got the boat.
